Tired Eyes
Happens to most moms working or stay at home. Some days you just long for the comfort of your bed. It has been sooo long since I last slept in. It truly is a luxury. Last night the littlest one was being demanding... Maybe I need to start forcing him to drink a bottle before bedtime. Depan tv so he doesn't get tempted to ask for mommy milk... I'll start later.

Anyone Can Run
I'm not kidding... Just came back from the Borneo International Marathon 2016 and am totally inspired. There was a pregnant lady doing 21km, a 70 year old granny who was doing her 140th marathon and a guy with a prosthetic leg doing 21km. We really should not have any excuse... I hope to keep running like that granny! I will (In Sha Allah) be laughing at all the youngsters behind ne as I cross the finish line.
Although, I need to improve my time of 2hrs and 50mins first before I consider a full 42km.

Hmpf!
That may have been the sound I made when my husband mentioned that someone whom he had preciously worked with had told him to look out for his sister.
Not that there is anything wrong with that. It's just that I don't have an elder brother and it seemed alien to me that you would require such an intervention to be made for me. But, like I said, I never had brothers.
Look after yourself. Not so much who will look after me. So, I would kind of hate it if I knew someone had asked someone else to 'look after' me.
Different strokes.

Cemana kan Zero Waste ani?
I have been totally addicted to reading about Bea Johnson and her Zero Waste movement. I love it (as now I am all about simplifying). But, I have to say... Living in B-land does not make it easy.
And, 'Don't want what you don't have' is difficult sometimes. I now understand how downsizing and simplifying your lifestyle can take from a couple of months to a couple of years.
Baby steps...

Fail To Plan, Plan To Fail
Things are always crazy with the three kids. There are appointments to remember, homework to do, things to fix, things to buy... Trying to remember everything, alas, is just too much for my mommified brain (aha! A pun!).
I saw Jada Pinkett Smith give a very good answer to a question on being a mother. I totally agree with her. But, something that helps me stay on top of things is... Planning.
I suppose I have been a fan since high school. I have planner going back to form one containing my list of homework, books to bring, errands etc.

My Grandma
Although she was relatively quiet and, I don't think I was her favourite, sometimes I find myself thinking of my grandma. What she had gone through... What she had to live with... Small things she told me... The delicious things she cooked.
I think she is the one who taught me to appreciate good food and the joy of travel and that you always need a plan B.
She gave me real insight to how our culture used to treat women back in the day (not good!).
I remember transcribing her amazing recipes written in jawi into rumi so more people could read and make use of them.
She wasn't greatly affectionate but she was generous and I remember her many gifts. Often times out of the blue and exactly what we would love.
I do miss you, Nenek. I hope you have found peace and that the many, many cucus have made you proud.
Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Feeling happy after my conversation with my boss.
Hoping to be more productive everywhere in my life this year and feeling inspired by David Allen's e-mail.
Declutter! Simplify! Refresh!
Those may not be his exact words but thats what I got from it.
